BBQ & Bluegrass Night to Feature America’s #1 Bluegrass Group

Heard any great bluegrass music lately? Have you ever heard the #1 Bluegrass band in America? When’s the last time you ate your fill of delicious, lovingly prepared, barbecued pork or smoked turkey? Have you taken the one you love out for a nice evening that included a great meal and an award-winning show and the price was whatever you could actually afford to give? This is what JCity Church is offering you. We’re the ones who had a booth at the Halloween Trail of Treats or Hometown Christmas in Johnston City and you probably met some of our great people and entered a drawing for one of our giveaways. In case you don’t remember, JCity Church is a Free Will Baptist congregation in Johnston City that works to put Christ and community first. This is your invitation to attend “A Night of BBQ and Bluegrass,” Saturday, February 16, with The Farm Hands, Bluegrass music’s 2018 Band of the Year. ReLaunch 3D Continues Sunday Nights at 6:00 Join us Sunday evening at 6:00 to discuss the public relaunch of our church’s ministry in our community. Another exciting outreach opportunity is coming: Hometown Christmas (Nov. 24). We’ll meet in the fellowship hall for discussion and refreshments. Christmas Food Drive Begins The Johnston City Ministerial Alliance will begin registration November 26 for Christmas food boxes. Our church will provide the following items: instant potatoes, gravy mix, cake mixes, frosting, Jello, stuffing mix, canned corn, and canned green beans. Put donated items in the box in the foyer beginning next Sunday. Women’s/Men’s Ministries Meet Tonight Our Women’s/Men’s Fellowship supper and ministry meetings will be held tonight at 6:00 pm in the fellowship hall. The theme of the meal is fall flavors. Help Needed for the Trail of Treats The city will sponsor a “Trail of Treats,” Wednesday, October 31, 5:00-8:00 pm. Our church plans to set up a booth on Broadway downtown to give children treats, other freebies, and ministry info. We need both volunteers and candy.
